Pastor Kent Ward answered the call of God at the age of 15 and pursued ministry training at Charis Bible College in Colorado, where the Lord continually confirmed his calling as a pastor. After graduating in 2007, he served in pastoral leadership in Missouri before receiving God’s direction to plant a church in Perryville.

In 2011, Kent and his wife, Liz, pioneered Overcomers Church International, where they continue to faithfully serve and build according to God’s vision. Kent is also a published author of several books, equipping believers to grow in faith, identity, and Kingdom purpose.

Pastor Kent’s ministry is marked by a deep revelation of God’s unconditional love and a passion to see hearts awakened to the Gospel. He carries a burden to see regions transformed through both the preaching of the Word and the demonstration of God’s power.

With a strong commitment to Kingdom culture, Kent’s life mission is to see strong believers raised up to impact every area of society. His heart is to build people who will, in turn, build strong churches that advance God’s purposes on the earth.

Pastor Elizabeth Ward serves as Senior Leader of Overcomers Church International alongside her husband, Kent. Together, they pioneered and planted the church in 2011 with a passion to raise up leaders and advance the vision of “Building Strong People, Building Strong Churches.” She is also the co-founder of Ward Ministries, reaching hearts through podcasting, books, social media, conferences, and more.

In prayer, the Father spoke over her life the words: “Confident, mighty, radiant, mouthpiece.” Rooted in intimacy with Jesus, Liz is devoted to the secret place, allowing her identity in Christ to shape every area of her life and ministry. Flowing from this deep relationship is a heartfelt mission to awaken hearts to the transforming power of the Gospel.

Liz has been married to Kent for over 20 years, and together they are raising four sons. With compassion, faith, and spiritual insight, she carries a passion to see lives healed, restored, and strengthened through the love of Jesus.
